With RBIL Viewer it is possible to search for a specific topic title or to search for text within the current topic. Both these options are available in the Find window, which can be found under the Search menu.

Finding topics:

To search for a specific topic, you can enter a part of the topic title or topic ID in the Text to find editbox. The Search in setting must be set to either Topic titles of current category or Topic titles of all categories. The respective names speak for themselves. Press the Find button to close the window and to find the first matching topic. Any other matching topics can be found with the Search Again option.

Finding text in current topic:

To search for text in the current topic, you can enter the text you want to find in the Text to find editbox. The Search in setting must be set to Current topic. Press the Find button to close the windows and to find the first occurrence of the specified text in the current topic. Any more occurrences can be found with the Search Again option.

Some notes:

Search Again always continues searching from the last location which was found by a search operation.

Using Find will always start the search from beginning.

When the last matching item has been found and another Search Again is done then a message will be displayed. When you close the message window and do another Search Again then the search will start from top.
